Textbo ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Textbo messaging platform at textbo.io. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information to provide our FBO-to-pilot messaging service:
- Pilot Information: Name, phone number, and aircraft tail number, provided by the pilot or FBO operator when adding an aircraft to the system.
- Message Content: Text messages sent between FBO operators and pilots through the Textbo platform.
- Usage Data: Basic access logs and timestamps related to service operation.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Send and receive SMS messages between FBO operators and pilots regarding aircraft services.
- Display conversation history within the Textbo dashboard for FBO operators.
- Maintain records of aircraft activity and messaging for operational purposes.
SMS Messaging
Textbo uses SMS text messaging to facilitate communication between FBOs and pilots. By providing your phone number and consenting to receive messages:
- You will receive SMS messages from the FBO related to your aircraft services, including welcome messages, service coordination, and operational updates.
- Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the FBO.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- You can opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
- For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at [email protected].
No Sharing of Opt-In Data
We do not sell, share, or disclose your opt-in consent, phone number, or any personal information collected for messaging to any third parties. Your consent to receive SMS messages is between you and the FBO you are interacting with, and will never be shared with or sold to outside parties.
Service Providers
To operate the Textbo platform, we use the following service providers who act solely on our behalf to deliver the service:
- Twilio: Our SMS delivery provider. Twilio transmits messages on our behalf and does not use your information for any other purpose. Twilio's practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare: Our hosting and infrastructure provider for performance and security.
These providers process data only as necessary to deliver our service and are not considered third-party recipients of your opt-in data. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data Retention
We retain pilot contact information and message history for as long as needed to provide the service. Aircraft marked as "departed" and their associated data are retained for operational record-keeping. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at [email protected].
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
